Open Windows
It’s hot. It’s cold. It’s rainy. It’s humid. Thank goodness I’m inside where I can keep the house at 70 degrees. That’s what I used to think. Until our tightly sealed home turned against me and created mold in our HVAC system. The house didn’t smell moldy, but my body became moldy. It became a toxic waste pit of immune dysregulation and total shut down.
Why am I mentioning this? Because we evolve, change, learn and grow. Now, when the temperature outside is anything below 70, I open the windows. According to the EPA, our home air can be more polluted than the outside air. And why is this? Because the solution to pollution is dilution. Meaning we need to dilute air with more air. This is also how I helped my body recover from mold; I added clean foods, clean water, clean air, and gentle movement. I included fiber and binders to help gather the garbage and remove it from my body. We now have indoor air filters on our HVAC and smaller units to keep the circulation of the air clean.
Air is probably one of the last things people think about when it comes to their health. We all take breathing for granted. But here I am to remind you to get clean air and breath deep.
Health Tip:
Learn 2-3 breath work practices to incorporate at times of stress. It will help the body connect with the nervous system and bring your mind and body into one focus point.
